Renewable energy has been used right through out history early man used wood as his fuel. He used it to cook with and heat his home with this renewable energy. Wood provided the only heat and light in early days. This continued until the steam engine was invented which allowed factories to advance and expand. Next was automotive engine which used petroleum to power the engines. Petroleum comes from crude oil.
Fossil fuel until recently have been widely used however recently there has been a push to alternative or renewable energy power.

Solar Hot Water is then stored in a tank above the collector or stored at ground level if you have a split solar hot water system.
