Gov Renewable Incentives.
Please not the Renewable Energy Program from the QLD Government is now closed.
Many think of Gov renewable incentives as the only way we can save our environment. By switching to solar through the Gov renewable incentives it will not only save you money but will reduce your carbon emission. Renewable energy power not only includes solar but also other forms of energy such as wind, geothermal power, tidal-power, hydroelectric-power or even bio-diesel power.
Renewable Energy Power like solar or wind power can minimise those high power bills that plague many today. Solar and wind energy are two of the most popular forms of renewable energy used throughout the world today. People world-wide are using various forms of renewable energy, in order to tap into FREE power .
Many Governments around the world are now seeking alternative power to the fossil fuels which is a non- renewable resource. The amount of pollution caused by the fossil fuels has reached alarming proportions. It is believed to be the cause of global warming and the severe weather patterns, the world is now experiencing. Steps are to be taken by Governments to ensure our future generations has a safer place to live on earth. Many Governments around the world are providing incentives to use alternative energy power
American viewers please visit ’Database of State Incentives for Renewable & Efficiency’ DSIRE website for more information. You will also want to check out the net metering system which pays you for any excess power you feed back to the grid.
It makes sense to switch to an alternative power or a renewable power SAVE on power bills.
The Australian Government is advocating renewable energy – that is we need renewable energy power to help us minimise the effect of the carbon emission polluting the atmosphere. In Australia there is a push for Solar Power, although there is also the opportunity to use renewable energy such as wind power to provide the energy you need for your electrical appliances. There are many places in Australia which is highly suited to to harness wind power particularly in South Australia which has close to half of the nation’s power output, while Victoria about a quarter of the nation’s capacity. Australia has 52 wind farms which many of the wind turbine generate between1.5 to 3 (MW) although Australia is lagging behind other Countries. China 44,733 MW , USA 40,180 MW, Germany 27,215 MW, Spain 20,676 MW, India 13,066 MW are well ahead of Australia which only generates 1,880 MW .
Why not build your own wind generator to produce the power you need?

Solar Incentive Scheme
The Australian Government provides incentive to install solar power or wind power to supply your household energy needs. They will pay you for the
excess energy you generate. The scheme rewards those who keep their power to a minimum to export the excess back to the grid.
In Queensland the State Government pays 44 cents per kilowatt/ hour for any surplus solar energy power you create and is only applicable for a 20 year period as net feed. The amount of power or energy you send back to the grid depends on:
- the amount of sunlight
- aspect of the roof and pitch
- the season (summer provides a much higher rate than winter)
- the number of panels you install on the roof
Feed In Tariffs
For more information for Australian residence see feed in tariffs.
Western Australia pays 40 cents per kilowatt.
N.S.W pays 60/20 cents for power with a 7 year program as gross feed.
Victoria the amount they pay for power is 60/25 cents for 15 years net.
South Australia the amount paid for power is 44/22 cents for 20 years net feed.
ACT pays 44/22 cents for any power you generate for a 20 years period and it is gross tariff.
Now you may ask… what is the difference between net and gross feed tariffs?
Well… a net feed in tariff only pay you for the amount you export back to the grid.
Gross feed in tariff pays for the whole amount of power you generate through your solar panels.
There is a big difference, particularly for the amount paid and the amount which will offset your power bills.
Depending on your energy consumption and how much solar power you produce will determine your power costs.
Germany Solar Production
Did you know that Germany generates around 17,000 megawatts of solar power to provide their energy needs. Their renewable energy market is base on solar power where as Australia generates only 571 megawatts of solar power to provide our energy needs. You can find Germany’s feed in tariffs here
